Our team’s key priority is keeping our marketplace safe and special, and we’re committed to making sure our community follows our policies. We know this is very important to sellers like you and wanted to share some news on how we’re improving the integrity of our marketplace.
As you may have seen in our recent Forums post, we’re working on ways to better identify listings that don’t follow our policies, and prevent these items from making their way onto Etsy. This includes reviewing third-party integrations that sellers can connect to their shop and use to manage their business.
So far, we’ve found three integrations that weren’t in line with our policy for third-party integrations: CJDropshipping (or CShip), ShineOn, and AutoDS. It looks like your shop has used one or more of these, so we’re reaching out directly to let you know that we’ve removed them, in line with our Terms of Use for third-party integrations.
Why we removed these integrations
Our marketplace is a destination for unique and creative goods, vintage items, and craft supplies. We removed these integrations after finding that they made it possible for sellers to create listings for mass-produced items that weren’t in line with our Handmade Policy and Prohibited Items Policy.
What this means for your shop and listings
As of October 2, 2023, you can’t connect these integrations with your shop or use them to create listings anymore. We’ll also be removing any active listings that you created with these integrations and refunded your listing fees for these items. Don’t worry, this won’t affect any Star Seller or Etsy’s Picks badges you may have.
To view which listings we removed, check your inactive items—it may take a few hours to see all the listings that were removed. While you won’t be able to put these listings back on Etsy, you may be able to create a new listing in your Shop Manager if your item’s in line with our Seller Policy.
